Our fourth mix of 2022 comes from @Mikal. Dubbed the silent assassin of drum and bass, Mikal only surfaces when he is satisfied with his sonic creations. His two albums on @Metalheadz ‘Wilderness’ & 2020’s ‘Metalwork’ will testify to that. It’s this working practice, coupled with releases of the highest calibre and depth of musicianship, which have led to him being held in the highest esteem by his peers.
This mix sees him deliver a tour de force across the darker edges of the drum and bass spectrum. Full of forthcoming material as well as a few current favourites and some memorable classics. Mikal has dropped a focused mix full of punchy beats and bass with flowing elements taking you effortlessly from one track to the next.
