Flying the flag high for Scotland, Anikonik has been at the forefront pushing the faster side of bass driven music in the north since 2013.
Starting out in Dundee her work as a promoter for Junglism Scotland and as a resident DJ at the notorious Electrikal Sound System has meant she has fast gained her recognition within the underground music scene up north – especially in Edinburgh, where she regularly plays at club nights such as Midnight bass, Sound System Legacies and the Electrikal nights hosted in the Bongo club. She is forever exploring the faster side of music with and has an undying love for Drum and
Bass, Jungle and Footwork – Anikoniks’ sets are typically hard, fast paced and experimental – pushing the boundaries of the given genre is her forte. Anikonik has supported the likes of Goldie, A.M.C, Chase and Status, Current Value, Dub Phizix and Strategy, Taxman, Mefjus, Nicky Blackmarket, Alix Perez, Bad Company, Sully and many more. She is also a regular within the festival scene having played the likes of Boomtown, Eden Festival, Kelburn Garden Party, Knockengorroch, Woodland Dance Project to name a few. Anikonik is not only a DJ and promoter, but a budding producer who was selected to go forward as a mentee by RAM Records for the EQ50 mentorship program in 2020. The dance floor is a
sacred space for Anikonik, having had the privilege of working with one of the UKs best sound systems means a lot has been learned in terms of music quality and what it is that drives people to dance. This knowledge is currently being applied to her productions, in which she is in no
rush to release – until the quality is high and the vibe is absolutely perfect.
