It’s the first DnB Friday of June aka the 6th level of Jumanji 2020! This week we have an exclusive mix from one of the most dynamic dnb duos in USDnB, Matos + Lovelace!
Bio:
Matos + Lovelace joined forces in 2011 in the San Francisco Bay Area, where Lovelace started her DJ career in 2000. While living on Maui in 2012/13, they launched Destination Jungle as a platform for DnB & Jungle music on the island, and added a radio show in 2014 after moving to New York, where Matos has been DJ’ing since the mid-nineties. Matos +Lovelace have headlined some of the largest nights in the US, including Respect LA, Stamina SF, Organized Grime SD, Recon Denver, BP² NYC, Two Tone Dallas and many more, as well as some international performances, including Belgium, Hong Kong, London, and Puerto Rico.
They are residents of NYC’s premier DNB productions crew BP². In 2018 they teamed up with Liondub on production as LXMXL, and have releases out on Deep in Jungle in the UK. In 2020, they joined the Liondub International crew, and launched a new label under LDI, UpRoar Audio.
Matos + Lovelace push the sound hard and take pride in their excellent mixing skills and unique selection flow that always takes the dancefloor on a powerful journey through the sounds of DnB and Jungle, whether playing to seasoned junglists or fresh ears alike.
Matos is an original resident of Camouflage NYC, and Lovelace an original resident of Sub.mission Hawaii, a subchapter of Sub.mission Denver. Lovelace is also a member of DnB Girls.
