The cool, still air begins to stir as an ancient evil awakens from its millennial slumber. Its moans of anguish and hunger reverberate through the damp stone crypt, meandering aimlessly through the maze of dim corridors.

Our torches probe the inky darkness without success. They burn so bright, but no amount of light or warmth could ever hope to pierce the Stygian blackness that hangs heavily around us.

Our stomachs churn. Every hair stands on end. Our minds fight tooth and nail to ignore the growing feeling of unease and terror. Try as we might, we cannot turn away. Something is calling us, deeper and deeper into the depths of the abyss.
