For the second set in the „first timer“ series we go all the way back to almost the beginning. While we had a small local party at Isuledda in 2003, the first official sunandbass edition happened in 2004. Our goal was to have an international crowd of artists and drum & bass lovers, and Chris joined us together with Suzie and SKC plus his partner. They drove all the way from Hungary and spent the whole week with us, embracing the idea of having a holiday together. Since then Chris has been a regular artist on our line up and become part of the SUNANDBASS family. He is also one of those artists that always bring their family. First it was just Suzie and him, then they added a little junglette. If I’m not mistaken he only missed one year when his daughter was born.
The set has been recorded at Ripping (back then it was called Pa-Ki-Ki, but only for that one year). It has been included on the SUNANDBASS 2004 DVD, that was produced by MZAM and his Zoon Designs crew. When listening back I realized Chris anticipated a couple of SUNANDBASS classics that have been played ever since. Sit back and travel back to the early days of our beloved SUNANDBASS.
